The Chilton County School District is excited to have the opportunity to employ seven career coaches this year. Each of our high schools has a dedicated career coach to help students with goal setting and planning for the future. Below are just a few of the areas our career coaches focus on when working with students.

Career Exploration:
Helps students identify their interests and explore different career paths through assessments and activities.

College & Technical Training: Assists with the college application process, finding scholarships, understanding financial aid (FAFSA), and enrolling in vocational programs.

Job Readiness SkillsTeaches essential skills such as creating resumes and cover letters, practicing interview techniques, and developing soft skills for the workplace.

Work-Based LearningArranges opportunities for students to gain practical experience through job shadowing, internships, and other work-based learning programs.

Post-Secondary Planning: Guides students on creating four-year plans and developing programs of study aligned with their career goals.
